Elevate your living space with something as easy as a rug!

I struggled to figure out how to design my living room for the longest time. I tried everything—decorating the walls with art and pictures, adding vases with flowers—but something still felt off. It wasn’t until I visited a friend’s new place that I realized how much of a difference a rug can make! So, I want to share some of my favorite rugs I discovered while searching for the perfect fit for my space.

My Favorite Rugs
Dawn Orange & Ivory Rug – this cute vintage rug is based on retro daisies, giving a 70’s era feel! What I love about Ruggable rugs is that they are machine washable, so there are no worries about spills!
Brooke Soft Lilac Tufted Rug – bringing it to the 60s now is Dawn Orange’s sister Lilac abstract rug. I don’t know about you, but this rug just radiates energy!
Lulu and Georgia Anahit Hand-Knotted Wool-Blend Rug – This golden and tan rug from Lulu and Georgia is a soft wool-viscose blend, and I love the pattern!
Handloom Woven Area Rug Natural/Ivory – Threshold – Target always has some good finds. This Threshold woven rug is no exception! It’s on the cheaper side, but is still super cozy and durable. Great for budget shopping!
Textured Weave Outdoor Rug Oatmeal – Threshold™: Weather-Resistant, UV Protected – Target strikes again with this outdoor-ready rug! Being UV-protected and weather-resistant, this can be a lovely addition to your patio for under $250! It can also go inside your house, so you can switch up where you want it, depending on your space!
Nina Takesh Loire Ivory Quartz Tufted Rug – Another Ruggable find that I love. I’m always a fan of marble-like or abstract art and this rug nails that feel!
Adagio Indoor/Outdoor Rug – I ADORE this pattern. This is another indoor or outdoor rug that is weather-resistant. If you don’t want a lot of color but want something to “pop” in your space, this rug is it.
Frances Stone Grey Tufted Rug – This find is simple and elegant. This stone grey rug is excellent for creating a calming space that also feels inviting and cool.
Nourison Home Swift Dreamy Shag Rug – Shag rugs are always so nice when you want something decorative and soft! This particular rug is abstract grey and white, and makes any living room feel comfy.
Harlow Copper & Brown Rug – This is a great contemporary option if you are more into browns and tans! I could see this doing great in a kitchen as a runner or in an entryway!
Abstract ABT498 Handmade Tufted Area Rug – Blue/Ivory – This hand-tufted rug is a nice, simple, modern addition to your space from Target. It also has a soft and plush underfoot to ensure comfort as you and your guests walk across it.
Iris Apfel Colorful Loom Mango Rug – back again with another orange (or Mango) find, this traditional Turkish-inspired rug will make any space stand out and will have your friends asking, “Where did you get this from?”
Pata Hand Woven Chunky Jute Area Rug – This chunky-texture, reversible rug fits nicely in a traditional or modern-themed room.
Blossom BLM788 Hand Hooked Indoor Area Rug – Brown/Multi – 4’x6′ – Safavieh – If you love a flower moment, this rug screams your name. The warm and cozy combination of browns, oranges, purples, and greens makes this rug so inviting and adds a nice color pop to your space.
Rodeo Drive RD454 Hand Tufted Indoor Area Rug – Grey/Blush – 5’x8′ -Safavieh – You know I must shout out a geometric rug. This muted-hue rug adds enough color, perfectly fitting for a contemporary room.
Justina Blakeney Hilma Charcoal Rug – This geode-inspired rug mimics how light bounces off these gorgeous rocks. The darker brown, tan, and black colors make this rug a good addition to a moody or more subdued room layout.
Rowan Teal Blue & Copper Tufted Rug – This rug features delicate microdetails, a vintage design, and a bold color scheme but is also bold at the same time. This is another Ruggable find, so it’s machine washable and easy to upkeep!
Sisal Linen 2.5’x8′ Rug Runner – Last but certainly not least is this Crate and Barrel runner. I love a good runner moment in an entryway, in my bathroom, or even in the kitchen! This is a simple natural color, which makes it easy to add in so many different spaces.
Final Thoughts
Rugs can do so much for your space, and I recommend adding a rug as soon as you know the theme of the space you are going for. Whether you want a splash of color or something that screams warm and inviting, rugs are an easy way to accomplish that. Hopefully, this list will help you on your rug-shopping journey. Let me know in the comments if there are other rug brands that you would love me to showcase!
